How to read The Brief

Nobody's bias-free. Not the big outlets, not the "just the facts" newsletters, not us. So instead of promising clean news, we show our work. Every item carries three lines:

ESTABLISHED — backed by a primary document or independent confirmation.
ATTRIBUTED — somebody said it; we tell you exactly who and when. "The military reports a strike" is not "independent evidence confirms damage."
UNKNOWN — what's still unconfirmed. Five articles repeating one anonymous source is still one source.

One story. One brief. Every morning.
